Connekt Foundation Connekt has recently joined the ADAS Alliance. As a public-private network for smart and sustainable mobility, Connekt is committed to a safer, more efficient, and future-proof mobility system. Safe and responsible use of vehicle automation, such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), is essential in this regard.

Within the ADAS Alliance, Connekt will contribute to increasing knowledge, awareness, and adoption of ADAS. They do this by connecting parties from government, businesses, and knowledge institutions and supporting joint initiatives.

Planned activities

Connekt endorses the objectives of the ADAS Covenant 2.0 and commits itself to the following activities for at least three years:

• Knowledge sharing and learning from practice

Together with members and the ADAS Alliance, Connekt organizes (digital) knowledge sessions on the operation, possibilities, and limitations of ADAS. These sessions focus on practical user experiences and lessons learned from research and innovation projects.

• Communication and awareness

Connekt supports the ADAS Alliance with targeted communication to its network, including news items, interviews, and social media. This increases the reach and impact of knowledge about safe ADAS use.

• Connection to ITS, CCAM and autonomous driving

Through its (international) ITS network, Connekt bridges the gap between ADAS and future developments such as automated driving systems (ADS) and CCAM. They view ADAS as an important stepping stone to higher levels of vehicle automation. Insights and experiences from these domains are actively shared within the ADAS Alliance.

With this commitment, Connekt contributes to a joint learning process and to accelerating the safe use of vehicle automation in the Netherlands.
